Ice Cream Diet
The 'ice cream diet' is actually a three day diet in which you eat about 1000 calories a day, (but consume other foods along with ice cream). Apparently, ice cream can assist in weight loss when it's part of a healthy diet. However, it is impossible to have a healthy diet eating only ice cream- it's high fat and sugar content isn't conducive to weight loss. The idea behind this diet is to increase calcium intake (calcium has been shown to assist in weight loss).
Instead, try following a diet plan of about 1300 calories a day, filled with lean protein, whole grains and tons of vegetables/fruit, and maybe taking a calcium supplement(and you can still have ice cream every once in a while.
